KentuckyMat is built for wrestlers, coaches, parents, and fans of Kentucky high school wrestling.
Rankings are part competition, part motivation, and part storytelling. For athletes, they're a snapshot of where you are right now — and a reminder of where you're trying to go. For coaches and fans, they're a way to understand the landscape of the season as it unfolds.
Each season starts with context from previous years, but once matches begin, rankings are driven almost entirely by results on the mat.
The system is simple in principle:
The goal isn't perfection. The goal is a ranking that reacts honestly to what's happening week to week.
All rankings are based on match results entered into TrackWrestling.
If something looks off, the very first thing to check is whether a match was entered correctly. I don't play favorites, and I don't manually adjust rankings based on reputation, opinion, or messages. If a result isn't in TrackWrestling, it isn't in the rankings — plain and simple.
If you believe a match is missing, or something needs clarification, you're always welcome to reach out using the contact link on the site.
During the season:
This schedule gives coaches time to get results entered and reduces errors caused by late or missing data. Rankings reflect the most complete information available at the time they're published.
Historical rankings are archived so you can always look back and see how things changed over time.
These rankings are not opinions — they're based on results.
You're welcome to tell me you're better than someone else, but the only way to prove it is the same way wrestling has always worked: go beat them.
Rankings are updated weekly and reflect the data available at the time of publication. They're meant to be fair, transparent, and consistent — and most importantly, earned.
